Verification of high-efficiency transport solutions for reduced climate footprint in agriculture

The purpose of the project is to manufacture and test a long, efficient compactor trailer primarily for agricultural purposes, based on a new long-stroke, compact and light actuator technology, Flexrow as well as a new floor mat solution in lightweight, high-strength steel.

With the new compactor, larger volumes can be compressed and pushed off in cargo spaces compared to today's technology in several transport segments, from silage in agriculture to more abrasive materials.

The technology enables up to 50% more payload per run compared to a conventional technology compactor trailer and can thus halve the climate footprint from transport in agriculture. The project's goal is to prove that the new technology can replace old technology in a complete Forage harvester chain at one of Sweden's largest Machine stations.

An equal team of broad competence, routine and great commitment will carry out the project. The basic technology is protected by several patents and patent applications.
