The proposed Swedish Zinc-ion Plant (SWEZIP) project aims to establish a Customer Qualification Plant (CQP) to demonstrate scalable zinc-ion battery production at industrial relevant yields and speeds. Enerpoly offers cost-effective, reliable, and sustainable batteries to integrators who deliver stationary energy storage solutions. Enerpoly’s potential customers have shown interest in the zinc-ion technology since they offer higher returns-on-investment for their energy storage projects.
Here in SWEZIP, we intend to set the foundation of high-volume manufacturing of zinc-ion batteries with the CQP in Sweden and build a workforce for world’s first scaled-up zinc-ion manufacturing plant. We aim to minimize acceptance barriers raised by customers and policymakers by showcasing the benefits of the technology. Ultimately, we will achieve low carbon footprint manufacturing by less energy-intense production, setting new global benchmarks and increase supply chain control and traceability.
