Development of conversion technology for running existing vehicles on electromethanol

Climate-neutral electrofuels are predicted to be one of the most important fuels for the future. It is a versatile energy carrier and can replace the fossil fuels we use today. Within the transport sector, the greatest potential is to replace petrol. Nuelab will carry out tests with components and materials in fuel systems on petrol engines.

We will carry out tests with 3 fuel pumps during an operating time of 1000 hours to identify weaknesses.

They are evaluated with regard to function, leakage and, in the event of malfunction, also disassembly to find problems with specific sub-components. The results will be absolutely decisive in the transition to electrofuels for the transport sector.
