H+Forest is a project that focuses on co-producing knowledge to develop sustainable lifestyles and create conditions for learning by integrating sustainability goals in the design process.
The project originates from the young generations' needs and behaviours to achieve social sustainability, create lifelong sustainable habits and promote everyday learning.
Researchers, students and designers will work closely to co-produce knowledge that will enable a better interaction between behavioural patterns and the design of the built environment.
The goal is not only to reduce energy and resource use, but to create social and ecological gains by creating a sustainable and inclusive environment.
The project works with Future Campus, where living and learning spaces need to be more varied and designed to match how students live and learn, based on scientific evidence.
The ‘H’ in the project title stands for Human, and ‘Forest’ for a nature-based design, inspired by the natural environment.
