SOLVE:Solar Electricity Research Centre Sweden

The Solar Electricity Research Centre (SOLVE) will be a strategic partnership between Sweden’s excellent national research base in PV and key representatives of a diverse group of public and private sector actors. Our vision is of a broad expansion of solar electricity in Sweden by smart, considerate integration into our cities, land and energy system, giving greatest possible contribution to our sustainability goals.

In addition, we wish to see a clear role for Swedish companies in the solar expansion at home and internationally.

SOLVE will enable this vision by carrying out needs-driven research and building a platform for knowledge transfer, education and career building. Our research themes include new technology, building integration, smarter systems, combining solar energy with farming (agrivoltaics), economic models, resource efficient planning and lifecycle assessment. The centre will be built on a series of innovative PhD projects, with a PhD school and dedicated outreach hub.
