The GreenWing project will design, build and flight test a wing specially adapted for an electric motor-powered two-seater school and travel aircraft with a two-hour range.
The aircraft manufacturer Blackwing will provide an aircraft of the model BW 600 on which the wing will be mounted and then flight tested during 50 flights.
The tests will take place within Green Flyways' test arena, which is an airspace west of Östersund, Sweden that has been set aside specifically for tests of Electric aircraft, UAS, ATS and ground support.
During the tests, flight data will be collected with measuring equipment installed in the aircraft by the Mid Sweden University in Östersund. The will be analyzed by the Mid Sweden University.
The results of the analysis will then be used to specify the requirements for an electric driveline consisting of batteries, control systems and an electric motor for an electric motor-driven two-seater training and travel aircraft with a range of two hours.
