An electrostatic charge of particles in the fireplace of a pellet stove, repulsion of the particles from the glass pane and collection of the particles on the walls of the combustion chamber.
The aim is to reduce particulate matter emissions to zero, while keeping the glass pane clean and dramatically increasing efficiency.
A feasibility study has been carried out. The particles are being charged already during combustion and collect on a plate with the opposite potential, while the glass pane repels them.
With the implementation of the Ecodesign Directive in 2022, the limit values ??for combustion particles and efficiency will be tightened. The new technology combines the desire for a clean glass window with the requirement for maximum efficiency and clean emissions, in contrast to current technology where warm room air is used to create air flow in front of the window to reduce pollution. If the technology can also be adapted to existing wood stoves, potential is huge.
