Kon 2021 - Licensing of a mechanism for folding propellers

The purpose of the project is to develop the go-to-market strategy for Katlas international target markets which includes an update for licensing, and to patent the drone's propeller mechanism in these markets. We believe that the marketing strategy, together with patents, design and trademark protection, are important at this stage for Katla to be able to successfully commercialize its innovation globally.

A basic business plan exists, but this needs to be supplemented with an international market research specifically for the folding mechanism. A basic IP strategy was implemented during Nov 20-Jan 21, where several important points were identified that Katla Aero now wants to take further in this project. Katla has initiated the patent process in Sweden, but now has the option to protect the patent in several countries and for that reason it would be highly desirable at this stage to be able to carry out these two activities in parallel.
