PED-ID: Holistic assessment and innovative stakeholder involvement process for identification of Positive-Energy-Districts

The project goal is to accelerate the transformation of Europe's energy system to a more climate friendly, efficient system, through the increased implementation of PED's.

Stakeholder involvement is the most important element for a successful implementation of PEDs, according to a survey by JPI Urban Europe.

This project provides decision makers and other stakeholders with improved information about PED options and impacts at an early stage and creates a knowledge-based participation process.

Data will be collected and calculated with the help of an applied methodology and prepared for appropriate target groups. The target groups will actively use these in the data-driven participation process, to make more informed decisions.

The project will facilitate the developing and sharing of knowledge to European PED pioneers, around the identification and development of PED strategies and their integration into general urban strategies; laying the ground for PEDs in at least 3 European cities
