Optimized electric freight transport

Rechargeable electric heavy trucks mean a whole new way of thinking when planning and performing freight transport. In order to achieve a higher utilization of electric heavy trucks and thereby ensure a faster transition to a sustainable freight transport system, models and algorithms are needed that can solve more complex optimization problems.

The Swedish Energy Agency assesses that the project has the potential to contribute to the conversion of the transport system to electromobility through the development and implementation of planning and optimization models that are adapted for freight transport with electric vehicles.
