Grant Description

TreeToTextile's (TTT) aim is to deploy and commercialize a sustainable and energy efficient process for the manufacturing of a, viscose like, textile fiber based on renewable forest raw materials.

Over 80 percent of the present consumption of textile fibers is based on cotton and synthetic fibers which both are problematic from a sustainability perspective.

In comparison, also with state-of-the-art viscose technology, the TTT process includes some apparent advantages related to energy consumption, sustainability and cost efficiency.
