The project will study the possibility to make use of the concept hot carrier injection with theoretical limit on efficiency at 65 %.
The fundamental goal of the project is to find ways for prolonging that time-range, a prerequisite for hot carrier injection to be usable in solar cells. The aim is to make use of the effect in the 2D perovskite hot carrier injection solar cells.
The Swedish Energy Agency assesses that the project may in the long run lead to the development of a completely renewable energy system.
