In order to create a resource-efficient society, not only are new technological solutions required, we must also change behavior.
A deeper understanding of both instrumental and psychological factors of importance for sustainable travel is thus crucial.
Focus in the project is placed on experiences, attitudes, important life events, future needs and travel habits linked to sustainable transport, which is combined with life-cycle analysis that gives ecological footprints (energy, CO2, NOx) of transport use.
Three generations - Gen Z, Millennials and Gen X – will be followed over four-year series of panel studies, with an extra emphasis placed on Gen Z as knowledge of this generation is crucial for the future.
