The substitution of internal combustion-engine (ICE) powered vehicles with electric vehicles in cities promises increased energy efficiency and reduced greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the city environment will benefit from lower local emissions and noise.
This project focuses on urban goods distribution, investigating how local stakeholders can facilitate adoption of electrified heavy vehicles. The project will gather stakeholders of electrified urban goods distribution in two Swedish cities.
The stakeholder group will meet recurrently to articulate user preferences as well as requisite changes in infrastructure and institutional frameworks.
The project will analyze how new organizational arrangements and business models can facilitate implementation of electrified urban goods distribution.
The project will moreover study how local-level initiatives and experiences aggregate and interact with evolutionary processes on a sector-level.
