In the automotive industry, there are strong demands to streamline and develop towards the future. A key area with a direct impact on energy efficiency and the environment is in internal combustion engine management. In this area, the development of engines at high operating temperatures has a particularly great potential.
The basic need is to effectively measure the pressure in the cylinders during the combustion process. This project is developing a new sensor solution that is expected to be able to control the combustion process at high working temperatures and at the same time be significantly better and more accurate than other sensors.
This allows more efficient and cleaner engines to be produced, at Volvo and Koenigsegg. The company ADDIVA Elektronik is the main applicant with other parties like research institute RISE Acreo, RISE IVF, SWERIM, Volvo AB, Koenigsegg,EEPAB and Lund University. The project runs for 18 months and a total budget of 6,1 MSEK of which 4,08 public funding
