Organizing sustainable energy systems in urban development

The Swedish Energy Agency funds the project based on the knowledge it generates regarding the energy transition.

By employing longitudinal fieldwork methods, the project addresses how practices, actors, technology and institutions are related in sustainability transitions. This will contribute both theoretical and practical knowledge.

The purpose of this research project is twofold: 1) to develop knowledge of how renewable energy and resource efficiency is organized and managed in a large-scale urban development initiative, and 2) to explore how this is related to local and national energy systems and its sustainability transition.
