INTERACT, with many European actors, integrates innovative technologies of renewable and distributed energy resources in a holistic architecture to design the first Energy Community that works in harmony with the power grid.

Fyllinge in Halmstad works as the case study in Sweden, where Tornet Fastighetsutveckling AB is planning around 2000 apartments. The plans already include local production of heat and electricity. In addition, it is close to a shopping center with several actors needing cooling, heating and electricity.

An Energy Community in this area has the potential to connect these actors and enables a more efficient use of the locally produced energy, where the planned electrical mobility could also be included.
