Industry framework for automated buildings and energy systems

Increased collaboration between property owners and energy companies via digital environments can reduce power peaks and reduce energy needs which creates space for additional power needs for electrification of transport and industry or new con-nections to district heating systems.

The project develops an industry-wide framework that describes different levels of automation and performs scenario analyzes to identify critical factors in the automation development. The work is i.a. based on development of the Smart Readiness Indicator within the EU. Real estate companies that are fo-rerunners in digitization participate together with their respective partners.

The project also identifies strategic areas where the real estate, energy and installation industries need to pursue joint continued development work over the next two to three years.
