Customer verification of MEA for fuel cells

Celcibus has developed a noble metal free catalyst for fuel cells which can lower overall fuel cell stack costs by 30%. A proof-of-concept application of this patented catalyst in a complete membrane electrode assembly (MEA) has been tested by a customer, and Celcibus will develop the MEA to meet customer needs by improving both catalyst performance and MEA integration.

During the first 6 months, catalyst will be optimized independent of MEA development. MEA development will be carried out in two steps, where customer test of a new MEA will take place after 10-12 months after project start, and additionally on a refined MEA after 18-21 months after project start. Customer test results will be fed back into the project for performance modifications.
