This project concerns studies of new chalcogenide perovskites using optimized methods on material syntheses, thus allowing for fine-tuning the bulk and interface properties for solar cell applications.
The project will take synergistic advantage of new developments in X-ray spectroscopy enabling understanding of the interfacial structures at an atomic level in terms of electronic structure and material intermixing.
The fundamental understanding of the electronic landscape will pave the way to manufacturing lead-free and stable solar cell materials with the ultimate goal of contributing to development of a highly efficient devices.
