Improved dialogue for bioenergy and enhanced creditability for the Swedish bio-economy

The project aims to identify the views that underpin the polarized debate on the bioenergy's pros and cons in Sweden and the EU, and what lies behind these views.

The Swedish Energy Agency believes that the project, by highlighting the concerns that exist about bioenergy extraction and its foundations, strengthens the conditions for a constructive dialogue and contributes to identifying the need for improved communication, future research on the bioenergy's environmental effects and providing the basis for policy work which in turn can contribute to a increased credibility for Swedish bioenergy and thereby facilitate the transition to renewable energy.
