aside from high-profile publications given the cutting edge methods), we plan for the CBU to become the national leading centre for this technology.
Our rapidly accruing knowledge on stimulation, imaging, behavioural assessment and their combinations is current unique and thus needs to be actively disseminated. In short, the CBU will be an international centre of excellence which others will benefit.
Specifically, in collaboration with the equipment manufacturers, we will host national/international workshops for early dissemination of methods and tools to all research groups.
We will also become the UK representatives in international networks (e.g., for ultrasound stimulation) and initiate bilateral international collaborations (e.g., with MPI Leipzig – one of the few other TMS-fMRI centres).
We will host researchers and fellows who want to learn how to use these methods for their implementation in their host institutions.
