Evaluation Of “LEAD” (Learn, Eat and Develop) Intervention for Mothers to Improve Early Childhood Development and Reduce Stunting in Infants of Urban Slums of Nagpur, Wardha and Belagavi districts in India

Improving parenting by early childhood education and care services areof high priority as atleast a third of slum environment. The rates of childhood developmental delay are unknown. We hypothesize that the delivery of the “ slums <20 weeks of pregnancy through delivery till their infant is 12 months old, in addition to the existing health services, will improve early childhood development and reduce stunti in their infants at 18 months of age when compared to women who do not receive the LEAD intervention.
