Grant Description

On June 14, 2022, the "Training Course on Agricultural Products Processing in Guyana'' was officially launched.

The training was sponsored by the China Ministry of Commerce and organized by the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS). The monetary value of this training series is unknown. 40 Guyanese trainees attended the ceremony.

The trainees came from Gui National Marketing Company, Agricultural College, and agricultural product processing enterprises.

The one-month training is meant to bring China's advanced technologies and best practices in the field of agro-processing to Guyana.
