Grant Description
On August 26, 2022, the Chinese Embassy held an admission notice insurance ceremony for the 2022 Chinese Government Scholarship winners.
The event was attended by Ambassador Guo Haiyan, Minister of Personnel of Guyana, and Director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Chu Lai.
The scholarship was awarded to 9 Guyanese students for a variety of academic disciplines, including medicine, politics, finance, economics, psychology and sports rehabilitation. The monetary value of these scholarships are unknown. The Chinese Government Scholarships were provided by the Chinese Government through the China Scholarship Council.
Recipients of this scholarship will attend Peking University, University of International Business and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Southern Medical University and other schools.
