Grant Description
On November 2, 2022, China Communications Construction Group and Uganda’s Makerere University School of Civil Engineering signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation in talent training and held a school-enterprise cooperation unveiling ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by Counselor Jiang Jiqing of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, Executive President of Makerere University Ali Netwei, Head of the Overseas Business Department of China Communications Construction Company Zhao Wei, relevant faculty members of the School of Civil Engineering, and the Ugandan media.
The purpose of the agreement is to provide talent training that will broaden the teaching practice, employment, and entrepreneurship channels of Makerere University. The training will focus on the field of engineering construction. The monetary value of this training is unknown.
