Fujian Provincial Government donates 4 ventilators to Tagum City and Iligan City Hospitals in December 2022

On December 2, 2022, the Fujian Provincial Government's Foreign Affairs Office donated four sets of Yuyue bilevel-positive airway pressure ventilators to hospitals in Tagum and Iligan City.

Li Lin, the Chinese Consul General in Davao, handed over two ventilator sets to Tagum City Mayor Huang Zhongwei and Iligan City Municipal Officer Darwin Manubage respectively. The monetary value of the four ventilators is unknown.

At the handover ceremony, Tagum Mayor Huang Zhongwei thanked Fujian Province for donating the medical supplies, expressing willingness to actively implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and the Philippines and expand cooperation with China in the fields of agriculture, the humanities, renewable energy, and other fields.

Iligan City Mayor Darwin Manubage thanked Fujian Province for medical supplies donation.

He said that these ventilators will greatly enhance Iligan hospitals' ability to deal with respiratory diseases and fight against the ongoing crown pneumonia epidemic.
