Grant Description
On April 24, 2022, China’s 22nd medical team to Cameroon began its service at the Gynaeco-Obstetric and Pediatric Hospital of Yaoundé and the Mbalmayo District Hospital.
The team was made up of medical experts with a variety of specialties, including internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, anesthesia, and traditional Chinese medicine. The team was led by Guo Jun.
During their time in Cameroon, the team held several free clinics, completed 17,519 outpatient visits and 838 inpatient visits, and promoted the use of Chinese traditional medicine. The team’s service concluded on June 10, 2023.
