Grant Description

On September 23, 2022, the second batch of emergency medicine arrived in Sri Lanka at the Bandaranaike International Airport.

The shipment included 100,000 tubes of human erythropoietin injection, 270,000 tubes of freeze-dried human rabies vaccine (Vero cells), 4,500 bottles of fat emulsion injection (C14~24), 2,400 boxes of Pemetrexed disodium for injection (100mg), and 1,520 boxes of pemetrexed disodium for injection (500mg).

Altogether these medicines are valued at around RMB 12.5 million.

On September 26, 2022, the Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong and Sri Lankan Health Minister Rambukweera held a handover ceremony for the medical aid.

This project is part of CIDCA's 500 million RMB humanitarian package to Sri Lanka committed in May 2022 (Record ID#98982).

The first batch was donated to Sri Lanka in June 2022 (Record ID#99009); the second batch was donated in September 2022 (Record ID#99245); the third batch was donated in October 2022 (Record ID#100331); the fourth batch was donated in December 2022 (Record ID#98717); the final batch was donated in January 2023 (Record ID#108044).
