Grant Description

On March 11, 2005, China National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC) donated railway machinery worth USD 200,000 to the Government of Sri Lanka to be used for railway reconstruction in the wake of a devastating tsunami.

The donated equipment included a rail drilling machine, rail cutting machine, hydraulic adjusting sleeper tool, hydraulic tamping machine, and hydraulic turnout tamping machine.
