Grant Description
In 2015, China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) donated school equipment and supplies to Satellite Junior Secondary School, located in Satellite Town, Lagos, Nigeria.
The donation was valued at USD 5,000 and consisted of 60 sets of desks and stools (20 dual tables and 40 chairs), 300 school bags, one 40-inch television, notebooks, umbrellas, jump ropes, calculators, pencils, pens, and other supplies. The project was carried out under the framework of the China-Africa People-to-People Friendship Action initiative.
The donation was made after CCECC implemented and financed the USD $80,000 rehabilitation of a block of the school. Construction lasted two months and was completed on September 5, 2015 (captured in Record ID#98154).
