Grant Description
On March 25, 2019, the Chinese Government and the Government of Dominican Republic signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), which committed RMB 500,000,000 of grant funding for the 911 Emergency Attention Project (captured via Record ID#95520) as well as other projects agreed upon by both parties.
China Development Bank and the Dominican Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Development opened an interest-free RMB donation account to record payments, named 'the Assistance Account No. 2019/1.' During the disbursement period, the procedures of CDB to process the amounts are exercised, and use of the account is regularly communicated to both parties.

This was the first of two ETCAs signed between the Chinese Government and the Government of the Dominican Republic after they established diplomatic relations in 2018.
