Grant Description

On September 21, 2022, Zijin Mining Group signed a contract agreeing to cover the cost of water for 400 households in the village of Metovnica, Serbia for five years. Up to 25 cubic meters of water would be covered. This is known as the "Healthy Drinking Water" project. On December 15, 2023, a ceremony was held for the newly built water pump in Bor City.

This pump will help Zijin Mining Group provide water to households in Metovnica.

This agreement follows a donation of 1 million euros by Zijin Mining in 2021 for the construction of a water supply system for Metovnica (captured via Record ID#95289).
