Grant Description

On February 10, 2021, the Chinese government donated 4,000 metric tonnes of maize in support of the United Nations World Food Program's (WFP) operations in the Somali region of Ethiopia. The donation was valued at $2 million.

The maize covered food rations for about 268,000 Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Ethiopia's drought-prone Somali regional state.
