Grant Description

On July 27, 2021, the Chinese Embassy in Burundi donated anti-epidemic medical materials to the Burundi Ministry of Public Health and AIDS Prevention and Control. The materials included ventilators and other miscellaneous medical supplies. This was the 8th batch of materials donated by China to fight COVID-19 in Burundi.

It was distributed to hospitals including the Grand Prince Hospital. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation.

Ambassador Zhao Jiangping, Assistant Minister of Public Health Nzigi Rabamia, Economic and Commercial Counselor Xiao Guofeng, President of the Grand Prince Hospital Oscar, and members of the 20th Chinese medical team to Burundi attended the ceremony. During the ceremony, Ambassador Zhao and Assistant Nzigi Rabamia signed the donation certificate.
