On November 24, 2021, the Chinese Government delivered 100,000 donated doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines to the Government of Jamaica. The donated doses were delivered along with another 100,000 doses that had been purchased by the Government of Jamaica. A handover ceremony was held in Kingston. In attendance was Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, as well as Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica, Tian Qi.
