Grant Description

CDB pledges LKR 15 billion loan to Government of Sri Lanka for road construction On May 6, 2020, the Cabinet in Sri Lanka provided approval for the Government of Sri Lanka to borrow 15 billion LKR (USD $46,465,200) from China Development Bank to develop 105 kilometers of roads throughout Sri Lanka.

The Akuressa-Kamburupitiya road, Beliatta-Kirinde road, Tangalle-Weeraketiya road, Walasmulla-Weeraketiya road, Katuwana-UruBokka road, and Parandeniya-Hakmana road were among those selected.
