On October 1, 2020, the acting Mayor Sebastian Z.

Duterte led the distribution of 100 Lenovo tablets to qualified junior and senior high school pupils under the "Student Siblings Tablet Sharing Project" at the People's Park.

The gadgets intended for online classes of the city's indigent students were donated by the International Department of the Communist Party of China, through the China Foundation.
