Grant Description

On April 30, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan donated 1,500 care packages (爱心包) to the Pakistani Ministry for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON).

The care packages contained food supplies for Ramadan, and were to be distributed to Afghan refugees living in Pakistan. The donation was made at the request of SAFRON.

A handover ceremony was held at the Chinese Embassy and attended by the Pakistani Minister of SAFRON, Sahibzada Muhammad Mehboob Sultan, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing. This donation is not to be confused with a similar food donation for Eid al Fitr, as captured in Record ID#95361.
