Grant Description
On July 14, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka released a statement announcing that it had donated 100,000 face masks worth an estimated USD 30,000 to the Election Commission of Sri Lanka.
This donation came ahead of the August 5, 2020 Sri Lankan parliamentary election and was made at the suggestion of Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
