On July 29, 2020, the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka donated 50,000 face masks and 35,000 COVID-19 awareness posters worth an estimated USD 15,000 to the All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers' Union, a union of Sri Lankan three-wheel drivers ('tuk-tuks'). The masks were intended to be distributed to union members.
