On April 29, 2020, the Chinese Government donated 52 tons of medical supplies to Georgia.

This donation is intended to assist Georgia in detecting and preventing COVID-19. A handover ceremony was held for this donation on April 29, 2020 at the Tbilisi International Airport.
Li Yan, China’s Ambassador to Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, and Zotsko Rauri, the Deputy Minister of Health of Georgia, jointly attended the ceremony.
