Grant Description
On May 11th, 2020, Ambassador Zhu Liying attended the handover ceremony of hospital beds donated by Chinese-funded enterprises to the Malian Government. This donation included 400 medical beds and matching mattresses and pillows. The monetary value of this donation is 46 million CFA francs or 548,000 yuan.
This donation was organized and initiated by the Chinese Embassy in Mali at the request of the Ministry of Health in Mali, and led by China Overseas Engineering, with additional cooperation from other state owned enterprises, including the China Road and Bridge Corporation, CGCOC, Sinolight Holdings, China Hydropower, Sinohydro, and the Gezhouba Group.
Two private companies, the Qingjian Group and Huawei also donated.. How much each company donated specifically is unknown.
