Grant Description

On December 17, 2020, China pledged to donate Guinea-Bissau 2,600 tons of rice, as emergency aid during the COVID-19 pandemic. The emergency aid is meant to help the food shortages Guinea-Bissau had faced during the pandemic. The Chinese Ambassador Guo Ce, guaranteed the aid would be delivered throughout the beginning of the 2021-year.

In July 2021, the World Food Programme agreed to distribute this donation after the China International Development Cooperation Agency made an agreement with them in March of the same year. The current status of the donation is unknown.
