Grant Description

On February 10, 2021, the governments of China and Benin signed an economic and technological cooperation agreement (ETCA) worth USD $7.7 million.

The funds will be allocated towards high-impact social and economic projects within the strategic plan of the Government of Benin. The value of the project in the local currency (West African CFA Franc) is 4.2 billion. The purpose of this donation is to promote Benin's economic and social development and construction.

Official implementation of projects within this ETCA has yet to be confirmed.
