Grant Description
On September 8, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Benin provided 45 motorbikes to the Republican Police of Benin. The total value of the bikes came in at 20 million West African CFA francs. The purpose of the donation was to ameliorate the operational capacity of the Police. A handover ceremony was held for this donation.
Peng Jingtao, China’s Ambassador to Benin, and Sai Yidu, Minister of the Interior and Public Security of Benin, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the main heads of ministries and commissions, and the main heads of the Republic Police also attended.
