Grant Description
On June 7, 2021, the Chinese Government and the Government of Kiribati signed an AUD$6,739,600 (USD$5,224,850) grant agreement for a Livelihood Project.
The grant (donation) was received by the Officer-in-charge of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Koin Uriam.
The grant proceeds were to be used to support the implementation of various projects such as small grants (see Record ID#97256), medical funds (see Record ID#90127), the social stability fund (formerly known as the church grant fund) (see Record ID#90132), funds for the upgrading of social facilities in outer islands (see Record ID#90133), disaster funds (see Record ID#96878), in-service trainings (see Record ID#97311), and the reconstruction of the submerged causeway between Tanaea and Buota (also known as the Buota Bridge Project) (see Record ID#96920).
