On April 13, 2021, the Chinese Government delivered 100,000 donated doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines as well as 102,400 syringes to the Government of Mauritius.
Mauritian Minister of Foreign Affairs Alan Ganoo, Minister of Health and Wellness Kailesh Jagutpal and Charge d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Mauritius Gong Yufeng attended the vaccine ceremony held at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
