Grant Description

In February 2020, it was reported that the Chinese Government would assist in funding a $40 million surgical center at Maputo Central Hospital. The hospital is said to be eight stories with 600 beds. The financial support was announced through Rádio Moçambique by the Chinese Ambassador to Mozambique.

According to media sources, the surgical center was completed before 04/24/2020.
