Grant Description
On May 2, 2020, the Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar Yang Xiaorong went to Ivato International Airport to attend the handover ceremony of the first batch of anti-pandemic material projects from the Chinese government to Madagascar.
He signed the project handover certificate with the Madagascar Minister of Public Health Ahmad Amhad on behalf of the two governments.
Minister of Transport of Madagascar, Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidential Office, and Economic and Commercial Counselor Liang Shaomin attended the ceremony.
According to FOCAC, the donation included surgical and N95-type masks, protective suits, thermometers, goggles, gloves and shoe covers for health professionals. The monetary value of the donation was not specified.
The second donation was received in July 2020 (see Record ID#91915), and the third donation was received in August 2020 (see Record ID#91912).
